Welcome to Weatherstone.  A beautiful subdivision located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We are located on the Southwest side of Highlands Ranch about one mile West of Broadway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway.  Weatherstone has 294 single family homes.  Our Homeowners Association maintains a community pool and recreation area for the residents use.  Weatherstone is a great community to live in and enjoy life.

 

Weatherstone is a Sub-association of the Highlands Ranch Community Association.  Our legal entity is known as Weatherstone at Highlands Ranch Association, Inc. created in 1997.  This association was formed to promote the welfare and interests of the community. The Board consists of five members that are elected at the annual Homeowner's Meeting held in March of each year.  All Board Members positions are held for one year.

Weatherstone Pool Opens May 22, 2010


Pack a picnic for your family and join your neighbors for a fun day at the pool! In lieu of lunch being provided, a special summertime treat will be available. New this year, we will provide you the opportunity to make ONE charitable donation which will then be distributed amongst all charities that Weatherstone supports. Donations will be collected at the pool opening.

 

Spring Event A Huge Success

 

Hats off to this years’ Easter committee (Sandy Virden, Jill Meyers, Katie Franquemont, Jana Warwick and Barbara Kelly) for hosting another fabulous Easter Egg Hunt! Please join us in extending a very special thank you to Jason Reynolds of BRE Real Estate who provided the fire truck for this event.

 

July 4th 5K Run and Bike Parade


Hats off to this years’ July 4th 5K Run and Bike Parade committee! We had our best turnout ever; thanks to all who participated. A special thank you goes out to everyone who donated to the Make a Wish Foundation of Colorado in honor of Kyle Blakeman. Please join us in recognizing our community manager, board members, block captains, web master, volunteers and sponsor(s) who helped make this event possible.

New Residents


I
f you are new resident in Weatherstone please request a Welcome Packet from your Block Captain. New residents will be asked to fill out the RIS form and the pool waiver form found in their packet and return it to their block captain to get their pool key. The RIS form will be used to update the Weatherstone directory and email list. A list of Block Captains can be found at www.weatherstone.us

2010 Resident Information Sheets


Soon, we will be publishing a new Weatherstone directory.  Access the NEW Resident Information Sheet (RIS) under the Documents section. Please take a few minutes to complete the form. In addition to making the directory more complete, the information will be used to update our E-mail records. E-mail addresses are very important as it is our goal to start using this as a primary means of communication for Weatherstone. Information such as Neighborhood Watch, Alerts, upcoming events, the Quarterly Newsletter and other announcements are potential items that will be distributed via E-mail. Please note that many of the Email addresses we have on file are out-of-date or inaccurate. No information will be used for anything other than Weatherstone-related business. If you have any questions, please send an E-mail to

Donations needed

 

ARC/Cerebral Palsy is in need of donations, especially furniture.  Please call (303) 238-5263 or visit the website at www.arcthrift.com to schedule a pickup.

Garbage Collection Days

Weatherstone garbage will be picked up on Mondays between 7am and 2pm.

Eagle Waste Services observes the following holidays:

New Years Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day Day
Christmas Day

When these holidays fall on a weekday that is before or on Monday, your trash will be picked up on Tuesday.  The holiday pickup delay may be confirmed by calling Eagle Waste Services at at (303) 761-8387

 

Neighborhood Watch Program

WHOA would like to encourage all residents to participate in the National Neighborhood Watch Program sponsored by the Douglas County Sheriffs Office – Community Relations Department.

Deputy Cocha Heyden discussed at our first meeting how all citizens are responsible to build and maintain livable and cohesive neighborhoods and to support and assists each other to prevent crime.  If you would like to participate in this program please contact your Block Captain.  The requirements to participate each year are; to attend (1) Neighborhood Watch Meeting per year and to attend (1) get-together organized by your block.

Jill Lamb Memorial Fund

Jill Lamb, long time Weatherstone resident, lost her battle with breast cancer on February 7, 2008.  She is survived by her husband Brian, her daughter Taylor, Lauren and Katelyn, her mother Bette, and her two sisters Holly and Amy.  Jill will always be remembered as a wonderful mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend.  She was always involved in neighborhood functions.

The "Jill R. Lamb Memorial Fund" has been set up to help the Lamb family.  You can contribute to this fund by going in to any First Bank location.
